Benidorm

Benidorm is the tourist city of the Costa Blanca. The city is located 140 km from Valencia and 50 km from Alicante, both of which have international airports. Benidorm is a unique place of contrasts, the stunning scenery that surrounds the city and its modern skyscrapers. It is in an excellent location, protected by mountains that provide high temperatures throughout the year. The city is also called "mini Manhattan" It is full of life all year long. Benidorm's wide range of discos, bars and restaurants are some of the reasons. Like all other Spanish cities, Benidorm has a cozy elderly neighbourhood. Benidorm has 71 000 residents and is visited by more than 3 million tourists a year. The city's long beaches with fine golden sands are among the best in Europe. "Playa de Levante" is Benidorm's most popular beach and is conveniently located right in the center of the city. The beach "Playa de Poniente" is another place to note, it is quieter and more welcoming than "Playa de Levante".
